We offer a variety of mounting options for all species of African game to preserve the memories of a lifetime hunt. Whether it's duiker, baboons, gemsbok, sables, zebras, warthogs, or hippopotamus and giraffe, we can get the job done with the utmost care and honor to the animal.
Pairing yourself with a great outfitter who cares about your personal experience on the hunt is a great start to making those memories enjoyable, but why would you choose to bring back your hides to the United States instead of having them mounted overseas?
By choosing to have your trophies mounted in the United States you are choosing a higher standard of work, quality tanneries, and supporting families here in the US. The cost of having the work done overseas and shipping it here is the same as shipping the hides here and having the work done. However, by choosing to have your taxidermy work done here in the US, you will know that we use high quality tanneries, high quality materials and you're choosing to support local American families.
A broker acts as a clearing agent for imports from overseas. Selecting a broker who is familiar with taxidermy and salted hides is an important step in the process. Most hides will be flown into Houston Texas and my preferred tannery is located in Houston, therefore choosing a broker to handle the paperwork for clearing it through customs and fish and wildlife that also has their business located around Houston is a necessary part of the process. Once your cargo is cleared, your broker can arrange cargo transport to:
Fur Dressing Express
16702 Pine Forest Ln Building "A,
Houston, TX 77084
Fur Dressing Express is a USDA certified facility that can accept hides from the airport as long as it does not include any pigs. Pigs have special permissions that are required by fish and game. Your clearing agent will then arrange transport to a different facility before it can be shipped to Fur Dressing Express.
From there, the hides will be processed and tanned as arranged between me and you, the customer. The hides, skulls and horns will then be shipped to me at my facility where I will contact you when they arrive.
We have come this far, let's see things through!
Once the tannery is paid, they ship everything to me at my facility. I then ask for another deposit which will cover the forms, eyes, materials and shipping for the mounts. Final payment of balances are due once competed, before they leave my facility.
Yes, we offer shipping nation wide through trophy transport services. If you went on safari and live in Nevada but prefer to use my taxidermy service, we can have your trophies shipped to you uncrated. One at a time or as a set, depending on the situation. We ship anywhere in the lower 48 states. Shipping quotes are only available once the mount is finished. We have many satisfied customers throughout the United States and we make the entire process as easy as possible for you.
